All of the social networking platforms created here at PLANETwebfoot follows the same core process. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect during the process.
A simple phone call is all it takes to get started towards your own custom social networking solution. During the initial phone call we will discuss what you are looking for, identify the key features of your social network, determine who your audience will be, how they will interact with the website and what will keep them returning.
This is where we take the time to brainstorm and research to develop a plan for your custom social networking application and a basic time-line for the overall project. This will include an initial layout of the site.
Once the collaboration is finalized, a proposal will be prepared with the custom developments outlined as well as support, maintenance and other services agreed upon. This will give you the financial breakdown of the entire project. When that has been met with your approval, a formal contract will be drawn up and a deposit will be required to move on to the next stage.
At this stage, a conference call will be set up between you and our web design/development teams. This interview will be used to refine the specs from step two. Our teams will take the time to go over each facet of the project to confirm that you are getting exactly what you need to make your social networking project a success.
During this phase, our graphic designers will work closely with you to create a set of wireframes and mockups. They will work together with our programming team, where they will keep an eye towards usability and navigation to give you the most functional and visually appealing application, while ensuring the best overall user experience and positive promotion of your brand or service.
The development of advanced functions and custom features will begin. Our project managers will continue to collaborate and review with you during the development of your custom social network.
During the Testing Phase, every inch of your newly developed, custom social networking software application will be put through 5 rigorous rounds of testing by PLANETwebfoot beta testers to identify any possible glitches or bugs. The development team will then proceed to address and fix those bugs. After beta testing, the project then moves to review by the Head Web Developer for approval. From the Head Web Developer it moves to senior management and after a thorough review it will be presented to you for your approval. Any final concerns with development, design, or SEO considerations will then be made and finalized.
Your brand new custom social networking software application will be installed and configured on your servers and any adjustments or tweaks that need to be made will be done to ensure maximum up-time and that your social network will run efficiently, even through spikes in usage. It will be put through a final round of live testing and then be again presented to you for your final approval. It is at this time that we will go over with you all the features and abilities of your social network so that you can move forward with confidence.
PLANETwebfoot offers various support and maintenance options for your social networking platform. Beyond that we will also contact you periodically just to touch base and review your thoughts on your new online community.
